Try to tell me Obamacare is lawful.
Obama care is a sign of a country that has lost freedom.
I’m a better fit to be a Supreme Court Judge, a congressmen, senator or president than what we have.
It’s amazing how distorted peoples minds have become. In a free country where we instituted a government to protect our right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness people are thinking it is okay for the government to force you to get health insurance. These same people think anyone who opposes it is just being mean and hates Obama. Simple things for simple minds I guess.
I think now would be a good time to look at the definition of the word Liberty. I think people have been conditioned to gloss over key phrases in our countries founding documents and they gather no meaning from them.

Liberty is mentioned as a right and Liberty means freedom from arbitrary or despotic government or control.

So lets plug the definitions in a part of the document responsible for people deciding to fight the king.

To make it more readable I will eliminate some of the definitions as they are redundant.
We instituted a government to protect your/our right to Liberty which is freedom from arbitrary government or control, freedom from foreign rule, freedom from control, interference, obligation, restriction, hampering conditions and to have the power or right of doing, thinking, and speaking.
Okay, so please explain to me how the government we have can take a portion of my income and how it can make me buy health insurance or be fined, taxed or made to pay a penalty? It seems that is the very reason we instituted a government, to protect me from something that wanted that sort of control over my life. This is like the fictional movies where the machines we create take over. The government we created to keep us in control of our life has taken over and is now in control.
I have had some conversations about this over the last few days, as usual no one seems to be able to address the things I bring up.
Here are some of the things they counter with.
It doesn’t infringe upon your rights.
Someday you will need major work from the medical system, what will you do? or you will need this new treatment that cost $150,000.
Is it so bad for a free society to have access to affordable health care?
It will not be criminalized and there will be no guns.
There were more but they really didn’t offer up anything else. As I hear more and dispute them I will add them.
Let’s take them one at a time.
“It doesn’t infringe upon your rights.”
This one is probably the mother load of them all. I think this stems from them not having a clue what a right is or what it was to our founding fathers. As I mentioned above we set up a government to protect my right to be in control of my life. Forcing me to get health insurance is taking the control from me in several ways. It is spending my money against my will and it is forcing me to get into contract with a private business. These Acts alone warrant us to institute a government to protect our rights. We obviously don’t have one that does that.
“Someday you will need major work from the medical system, what will you do?”
First off I question things when the word need is used. Need it, what for? Some would say you’d die without it. First it is hard to even say that, there are other options that could cause me to stil live. Secondly, if the care does work did it give me immortality? No, it didn’t. Oh, so I may still die tomorrow, next week, or many years later? So it prolonged the inevitable, death. How can you say it was needed then, you still will die. Even if it did provide immortality then one should ask the question if that is the best thing anyhow before one could say it was needed. I choose to live free from fear. To say I need health insurance and should jump through hoops and give up liberty (or force others too) so that if something goes wrong this current medical system can attempt to prolong it that seems a bit queer. Seems like one is wasting the current time with a false hope of immortality. But anyways, people should be free to choose, there is no absolutes here, so to enact a law and force one to get health insurance in this current western medical system reminds of someone in a religious cult telling you to do this and that or be damned. Like there are not options, choices, etc…. You NEED this, you need to be forced to buy insurance because you need the care this medical system has because you need to What? and What? That’s just it I guess.. I need to for what reason again? I need to because you have a bunch of belief’s mixed with fear in your head? I have a bunch of belief’s in my head, but the difference is I’m not forcing them on you.

I have to wonder how I could possible NEED something that has only been around 50 years yet humans for over thousands of years. How did we ever get this far with all these things we NEED yet they didn’t exist 50 years ago? Sounds like snake oil salesmen. Seriously, another sign something is up, another sign that is present when someone is trying to deceive you or are themselves deceived.

This one I really like. It assumes, implies, leaves so much out and attempts to corner one into a corner that any thinking person can see doesn’t exist.
So let me rant about it. It assumes that to everyone everything in the bill must be great and honky dory and any opposition to it must be because you think it is bad for someone to have access to affordable health care and the only way that is possible is with this bill. That statement above should have clued me into how the rest of the conversation would go. No where. It it a sign of someone who is so focused on something they can’t see and are unaware of the many, many other options.
The intelligent question to that concern should be, How come care isn’t affordable? When I look into it I find that it isn’t affordable because of government rules and regulations, insurance companies, lawsuits and fear instilled into those in the industry.

Well, I may have to look into this one more and we may just have to wait and see. But they say you must buy insurance or be penalized or pay a fine and it either then is considered a tax or it can’t be a tax but it is going through the IRS somehow. If you don’t pay the fine, tax, penalty or whatever they are calling it to make this illegal thing legal in their criminal system but they aren’t going to enforce it? Yeah, I had someone tell me that. Sounds like a major waste of time if is has been put in the Act and went up to the supreme court about forcing you to get insurance or be fined yet you can ignore all that and life will be hunky dory. I don’t know, that somehow reminds of times in the past when someone has swallowed some pill or a bunch of BS.

As the days go by it is easy for me to see something from the few supporters of Obamacare I’ve been engaging with. For the most part they are well intentioned people wanting this bill mostly due to it’s associations in their mind that it is good. They keep coming up with something, that something is easily countered so they come up with something else, that is countered and it goes on. Recently it was mentioned that this is good because it falls under FDR’s Freedom from want and freedom from fear. What does that even mean, freedom from fear and want? I think I’d run if someone was promising me that. I simple replied with this. How can you be mentioning freedom from want when you are denying the very basic true freedom to be in charge of your life? If I am not free to decide what to do with my money or whether to buy insurance or not don’t be peddling freedom from want or fear. Sorta funny, but as usual that would make a bit more sense if it was understood that we are slaves in some masters kingdom, then who wouldn’t be for better treatment. But first lets get free, I mean that is what I keep hearing the trops are fighting for, our freedom.
Another thing that came up often is something like this, they tax you and use your money for killing, why not healing. My reply, Two wrongs don’t make a right. I am against them taking my money and using it for war, for arresting herb users, for Obamacare and much more. People need to consider this, this government people are expecting to do good IS the Government that HAS been taking our money and starting unjust wars KILLING for many years before this, why on earth would anyone entrust them with healing? That makes it even worse, wanting this gov to take my money against my will to heal when they are the ones that kill. Judging by the fruit of the tree I’d say we are in trouble, we are going to get poison fruit.

As a Christian, I’m very concerned about the Supreme Court decision and its ramifications. I believe that soon, I’ll no longer be able to practice or share my faith freely. As I wrote recently on my blog, it’s not that my freedom of speech can be taken away. But through the back door, through taxing to control behavior, the door has now been opened to government intrusion into every area of our lives. While most people banter on about health care and taxes, the true impact of the ruling has gone largely unnoticed. Sad day for America.

You said it best but the way I often put it is that I don’t see any reason to let experts tell me and my children that science is better than medicine. As Kevin Trudeau often points out on his radio show, there are more people being “treated” (or having their symptoms treated at least) with drugs and surgeries today in America than at any time or place in human history and there is also more disease and illness in American than ever.

I’ve also noticed that those that get all the check ups or run to the Doctor for many things do in fact have many things found, but what they find and what is done next seems to make things only worse. These found problems are probably better off left alone.

At the crux of this controversy is the question of individual freedom versus the coercive power of government. Is it ethical for the federal government to order every American to purchase health insurance and dictate the type and amount of medical benefits? Our Supreme Court will rule on the power and control of the federal government versus the personal liberty of all Americans. It is a decision of enormous importance to every American, to our unborn children and grandchildren, and to the freedom-seeking people of the world. It is an enormous game-changer in the scope of freedom as we know it.
