Sometimes it can do us good to step back and reevaluate things. It troubles me how many people I know who may agree with me on somethings tend to not see the whole picture. I can say this for my friends on the right as well as my friends on the left. A disclaimer, there may be parts of the picture I do not see, but at least I’ve taken a step back to look at the picture.
There are many people upset with the way things are right now. They are upset with the economy. Which simplified can mean not enough money in the hands of the masses to obtain those things we need and want. Many are upset with the cost of medical care. But do people look to see why this is?
Many of my left friends want to get the government to make more rules on big corps and to tax the wealthy more. They want to get these people who are in government to stack the cards in the favor of the many. That is all well and good, but we should look at several things.
Who are these people in government? Why are we in the situation we are in?
Is it right to do the things they want them to do?
Who are these people in government? They usually consist of the very wealthy, the very people the people want to slap more rules and taxes on. What are the odds of that happening?
Why are we in this situation? One reason is we have let the government take on a role greater than protecting our rights. One thing they have done with these new found powers was to creat a private banking cartel that loans money to the government and people of this country, like a board game they use fake, paper, FIAT currency. Ponder that, doesn’t that make them like the masters or gods and us the pawns or subjects? In short, you have people begging the rich wealthy rulers to make legislation against themselves for our favor. That is the opposite reason they have gained their positions of power, so it is not likely.
Is it right to ask them to regulate big corp and tax the wealthy for our benefit? I say no, in fact the very act of us letting them violate a humans right to govern themselves is how they are able to maintain the position of power they have. Giving some entity power and control above and beyond the natural inherent rights is asking for trouble and is something I’d highly recommend against. In fact, once done, we will find ourselves in the position we are in, a position where our livelihood, our ability to live is so effected by politicians, by the entity we created to violate rights.

I agree that governments are regulating far more than they need to be. People look to them to give them everything they need in life and that’s not their job. They need to massively scale back their involvement in people’s lives.
